STUDENT VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM AND WORKING VACATION

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Animal Zone International on the Greek island of Amorgos! We care for cats, dogs, equines, and wild animals every year, and couldn't do it without our dedicated volunteers. 

  • Available year around.

  • Duration: no less than 2 weeks. Sojourn can be extended to 12 weeks.

  • Accommodation at the Hotel Minoa in the heart of Katapola, the main port of the island. Spacious rooms with private bathroom. Hotel is within walking distance of many differently priced restaurants, food store, boutiques and, most importantly, the Animal Zone International Center.

  • High-season double occupancy room for 1 week (July, August, and September): 770 Euros.

  • High-season single occupancy room for 1 week (July, August, and September): 720 Euros.

  • Off-season double room: 630 Euros per week.

  • Off-season single room:  580 Euros per week.

  • Prices include a very generous breakfast.

  • Work: a 5 day a week, 4 hours per day shift includes feeding stray cats, walking dogs, help with cleaning our animal shelter, caring for our equines, clinical assistance during our sterilization and vaccination programs

  • HOW TO GET TO AMORGOS. Fly to Athens and reach Amorgos by ferry leaving from Piraeus. (There are many different boats, some faster than others.) Alternatively, fly to Naxos and reach Amorgos with Classic Skopelitis Express Vessel (4 hours).
